Oregon Bus Project Gala

from the Oregon Bus Project:

The 2006 Bus Gala:DRIVE.
A night of politics as unusual.

DRIVE. The 2006 Bus Gala
Date: 06/24/2006

Fire up your action engine on June 24th.

Gathering at NW 14th and Marshall in Portland, thousands of hungry young progressives will come together and experience the Bus Project’s 2006 gala: DRIVE.
In 2002, we christened the Bus. In 2003, we honored Gov. Kitzhaber. In 2004, we hosted the biggest political party in memory. In 2005, we traveled Through the Looking Glass.

So what’s in store for 2006?
We return to Machineworks, the site of 2004’s RISE… and we’ll DRIVE all night. On June 24, we take over the giant Pearl District warehouse with airplane-hanger-like-aspirations - actually, we better make that zeppelin-hanger-like-aspirations.

A bevy of bands…Liv and the Warfield Project…The Retrofits…Justin Carroll and the Time Being…Calvin Johnson…DJ’s Ben and Ravi…One giant bus…Vehicular mayhem…The Zero to Sixty video contest…The next gen of Oregon’s leadership…Swanky VIP pre-func…After-party lasting well into the 25th…… and ultimately, a collective call to change democracy for the better. Damn.
